The promise that brought Manny home is the heart of what we’re building.
His story almost ended
before it truly began.
Our founder, Corey Van Dyke, first saw him in a Facebook post from a city kill shelter. His name was Rory. Something about him made it impossible to keep scrolling.
Corey drove to the shelter. Staff explained that Rory had already been adopted and returned several times. When Corey said he wanted him, staff ran across the street: Rory had been sedated and was being prepared for euthanasia.
Asked whether he wanted to try him out first, Corey’s answer was immediate: “No. He won’t be coming back. I am his forever home.”
Rory left with a family, a future, and a new name: Manchester, in honor of Manchester United. Manny for short.
Home. Forever.
Born September 3, 2024, Manny found his forever home just before his first birthday. Today he has a forever dad, two sisters, and an extended family and circle of friends who love him completely.
Manny’s Money carries that spirit into something practical: less confusion around money, more room for life, and a way to support second chances for other animals.
